My Lai Massacre
This program looks at the events leading up to the March 16, 1968 U.S. Army attack on the Vietnamese village of My Lai. Disorganization, lack of support, and lapse of discipline result to a mob mindset, led by Lieutenant William Calley, who orders soldiers to kill citizens suspected of aiding the Viet Cong. A panel of experts examines the aftermath of the massacre.
